A group of firefighters decided to establish a non-profit organization called “Firefighters Helping Firefighters” whose goal is to financially assist injured firefighters and their families who are burdened with these issues and obstacles. This may include medical expenses, services needed while hospitalized (food, hotel, home maintenance), retrofitting of home for handicap accessibility, in-home care, living expenses, etc.
Firefighters Helping Firefighters is excited about a crossfit competition put on by Adams Automotive and NHB Crossfit to raise funds for firefighters in need. The event will be held at Adams Automotive on

A Gift for Iron Bill
When two of our FHF staff, Al Goebel and Mike Mathis, came up with the idea of building a pump panel for Bill’s rehab therapy they asked for help from Siddons-Martin Emergency group. Siddons-Martin was on board and contracted Sani-Weld for fabrication. When Sani-Weld President, Douglas Manchester, discovered it was for Bill he immediately donated the service to honor Captain Dowling. FHF Helps Out Brother Firefighter In Time of Need
Firefighters Helping Firefighters issued a $1000 check to the family of Houston Firefighter Bruce Heckendorn in their time of need as their family faced hardships due to a medical emergency involving their son Braden.
